Cartography

For my book that I am writing in Novel Writing, I have constructed six maps of my own invention, one still in progress, as I have not inked it in yet. Map making is a very enjoyable process. One of my favorite parts is naming your places. Sometimes I do symbolic names: the Valley of Ellah, for example, is from the bible. It is the place where the Giant Goliath was slain by David. This will be a site in my book. The longest name yet on my maps is that of a city in the country of Grosta, named Tralfanstagnast. The wierdest one is probably the capital of Unist, Orkledore. I also enjoy drawing the mountains, and do NOT enjoy drawing rivers.

See Ya'!
