The Utah High School Chess Championships are coming up from the 26th-27th. All the toughest competition will be there, and (coincidentally) all the strongest players are in my grade. If I win, I will get to represent the state in the Denker National Tournament of High School Champions in Irvine, California (assuming I raise sufficient funds to go there). If I lose, I will gain valuable experience.
Given a choice, I'd pick the former.
