Congress

As you may recall from my last post, I was recently elected class president. With this came the opportunity to attend our student congress, which is composed of all the class presidents, representatives from our administration, and the President and her councilors. (Our student body president is Dauna Bates [see my Student Gallery post from April 2008]).

In congress, we use Robert's Rules of order to govern our meetings, so we're pretty formal and orderly. Bills can be passed by classes through their class president, after being approved by administration. It's cool how empowered the students at my school are.
