I have organized Paradigm High's first chess club and chess team. Right now I only have about six regulars, but I haven't really started advertising, and expect a decent increase in upcoming weeks.
The chess club is open to anyone, and includes information on how to play (from beginning to advanced strategy) and is being used as a teaching tool as well as an opportunity to play others experienced in the game. The chess team is much more competitive, and will travel to different scholastic and High School tournaments (including the High School Championship in April), and will consist of a) anybody willing to take the time and money out of their lives to go to tournaments, or b) the top four players in the chess club, depending on how many players show up at the club.
