This time, I'm doing it right.
My last book had lots of stuff wrong with it. I know all of you gave glowing reviews of it, but, let's face it, those probably weren't completely objective reviews. I gave my own work a rigorous analysis and review, and decided it was no good.
I'm going to be much more careful with my new book, Fireblood. I've done tons more research (on population sizes and inflation, languages, and cave climate), and have also looked into my writing style and characterization techniques, reading books like mad and studying works such as Scott Card's Character and Viewpoint. I've also thought very carefully about my plotline, whereas I sort of winged it in my last one.
