Sorry I haven't been writing everybody. Okay, I'm pretty much gonna cover most of the Christmas season in this blog, so hold onto your pants and lollipops.
Alright, starting from the beginning of December. Week One events: JJ and Kate's dances and Christmas caroling. JJ and Kate were wonderful (of course), as always showing their great prowess and talent off with style and pizazz. Caroling with the relatives was awesome (I've actually grown quite fond of singing for some reason; weird how warped I've become).
Okay, onto Week Two: Faith's birthday and Barnes and Noble. Faith's birthday party was pretty cool (we watched Kung Fu Panda again [now one of my favorite movies]), and Barnes and Noble was awesome! Grandma Reesa and Grandpa Phil took us to pick out some books, and I had the time of my life cruising through the aisles, debating over copies of brand new books.
Week Three: The highlight of this, of course, was going to visit Grandma Kristie and Grandpa John. We had a rip roarin' time with 'em, going to see movies, playing games, and eating until our waistbands burst.
Week Four: Christmas and Christmas Eve, of course! The Christmas Eve Boren family party was as cool as always (me and my siblings had a good time performing the Stayin' Alive Dance in the family talent show), and we had the opportunity to talk to Aunt Ally and Chris (now living in Missouri) and Aunt Sarah and Uncle Brent (in California), all of whom we hadn't seen in a while. Christmas was cool too. In addition to the awesome stuff we all got (thank you everyone, by the way) we finished up the manger tradition, wherein we all randomly drew the names of our "Secret Buddies" in the family out of a hat and did nice things for them all month. After doing a good deed, the buddy would put a straw in the manger, and the ultimate goal was to make the manger as soft as possible.
So all in all, this last Christmas was pretty awesome. May many more come afterward, God Willing! Merry Christmas and happy new year.
